When I suggest to clients that they take their indoor workout outdoors, the first activity that pops into their mind is a grueling run, up hills, in the heat. Going to the gym where there is air conditioning, lots of cardio equipment to choose from and a bevvy of classes in multiple formats does make exercising outdoors seem rather unpleasant. This doesn’t have to be the case, however. Take a moment to consider the wide variety of outdoor activities that offer up a heavy dose of fun and fresh air, and you quickly realize that outdoor fitness beats the indoor gym any day.
