I have always been under the assumption that when you are sick with a cold virus, you can’t catch another cold at the same time. Not sure how I came to this understanding – probably my own wishful thinking. Or my mother passed it along as “fact,” and I fell for it, hook, line, sinker. Turns out though, (and I’ll take the fall for this one Mom), I was wrong. According to an article in The New York Times, you can catch two colds at once! The good news: carrying two cold strains doesn’t necessarily mean you will be any sicker, or sick longer. The bad news: you can’t use the “I have two colds, therefore I can’t work out this week,” excuse. Here…have a smile ;0) Now grab your Kleenex and hit the trail.
